They say a picture's worth a thousand words so I am going to keep the writing to a minimum (at least initially) as to not feel too overwhelmed by the whole thing. I think I will try to post a picture or two every few weeks and take it from there. It was kind of nerve wracking and a bit scary, but in the end all was fine and it was a learning experience. We watched the doplar radar updates throughout the night (until about 1:30 a.m. when we knew the coast was for sure clear) and the worst of the storm (the funnel itself) was said to have come as close as about one mile away from our house (I think it was in the neighborhood of Abram's school). That's just a little too close for comfort! But in the end, it sounds like just rooftops and cars were damaged. Thunder and lightning went on almost constantly! We sat in the bed of the truck and watched the "show." Then, we felt a couple raindrops. 30 seconds later, it was pouring down like crazy! It was cool because the rain was freezing cold, while the ground was warm from the sun that afternoon!
